Can hibachi be kosher-style?

Short answer: We offer "kosher-style" hibachi: no shellfish, no pork, meat and dairy kept separate, kosher-certified proteins on 72-hour notice. We are NOT a kosher-certified kitchen (the griddle is mobile and not under rabbinical supervision), so strict kosher observance requires a different setup.

The honest limitation

True kosher catering requires a kosher-certified kitchen under rabbinical supervision. Fork Yeah Hibachi's portable griddle doesn't qualify. We're transparent about this because it matters.

What we CAN do: kosher-style

For families who keep kosher-style (practice but not strict certification) we offer: kosher-certified chicken and beef sourced from local kosher butchers, no shellfish on the party menu, meat-only or dairy-only cooking (not mixed), no pork, no cheese added to vegetables.

When kosher-style works

Many FL Reform Jewish families and Conservative families keep kosher-style at home — our setup fits their standard. For Orthodox families, kosher-style is usually not sufficient; we'll help you source a fully kosher caterer instead.

Pricing

$8-$12/person surcharge for kosher-certified proteins (butcher cost pass-through). Lead time: 72 hours minimum.
