Halal Hibachi in Florida

Short answer: Yes — Fork Yeah Hibachi sources halal chicken and halal steak on request (48-hour notice required). For strict halal observance, we also run the griddle without alcohol-based flame tricks and skip pork-adjacent sauce bases. Common for FL Muslim community events.

What halal hibachi requires

All proteins certified halal (chicken, beef, shrimp — shellfish is generally halal in most interpretations), no cross-contact with non-halal items, no alcohol-based cooking (so no sake toss and no alcohol-ignited fire show).

How we source halal proteins

We work with FL halal butchers for chicken and beef on 48-hour notice. Shrimp is sourced per standard menu (naturally halal). Lobster and scallops — some interpretations allow, some don't; defer to the host's preference.

The fire show without alcohol

The classic hibachi flame uses high-proof alcohol. For halal observance, we use a propane burst (same visual effect, 3-5 second flame on griddle) instead. The onion volcano can be done with oil instead of alcohol for a shorter but still visible flame.

Pricing

$5/person halal protein surcharge (covers butcher cost difference). Otherwise standard $35-$60/person pricing applies.
