Short answer
A Fort Myers housewarming is one of the few times you have a reason to gather every neighbor, friend, and in-law in the same space on purpose. A hibachi chef on the new deck or by the pool is the production that turns a tour-the-house evening into something people actually remember. Our Central Florida chef base is approximately 260 minutes from Fort Myers.
Why hibachi fits housewarming perfectly
A sit-down dinner in a new house either runs out of chairs or forces you to rent them. Hibachi works stand-up/graze-style: everybody circulates, people cycle through the fire show, nobody is stuck at a table.
For 25-40 guests we send one chef with the full setup. For a Fort Myers housewarming on the two-protein package with 30 guests: $1,500 all in.
Common housewarming configs
Pool deck setup
Fort Myers housewarmings often center on the new pool. Chef sets up at one end of the deck, people graze around.
Outdoor kitchen debut
If the house has a new outdoor kitchen, we work alongside it — chef uses our griddle, guests use the counter space.
Driveway party
For a cul-de-sac or garage housewarming, chef works out of the garage or driveway so the house interior stays pristine.
Multiple serve windows
Guests dropping by over 2-3 hours? We can run a continuous serve window instead of one wave.
Where in Fort Myers we cook housewarming hibachi
Most Fort Myers housewarming bookings land in McGregor, Fort Myers Beach, Gateway, Cape Coral, Sanibel, Captiva, Bonita Springs, Estero. The setups we see most are McGregor historic backyards, Cape Coral canal homes with pool cages, Gateway and Gulf Harbour gated estates, Sanibel beach cottages, and Fort Myers Beach rentals. Anywhere near the Edison & Ford Winter Estates, Fort Myers Beach, and the Caloosahatchee riverfront is well inside our normal service radius for Lee County.
Cape Coral canal homes often have paver pool decks that fit a full station; gated communities like Gateway and Shadow Wood need a vendor pass at the gate. A standard station needs roughly a 10 ft by 10 ft footprint on a flat, non-carpeted surface — driveway, pool deck, patio, screened lanai, garage, or balcony all work. We bring every table, griddle, propane tank, and serving piece; you supply the guests and the playlist.
What tends to shape a Fort Myers housewarming: snowbird anniversaries, 40th and 50th birthdays, and multi-generation family dinners. Tell us the group makeup when you book and the chef adjusts the pacing and the fire show to match.
Best time of year for a housewarming in Fort Myers
Season matters for both availability and comfort. In Fort Myers, January through April (snowbird season) is peak; summer evenings are hot and humid so most bookings move under the pool cage or lanai after 6 pm. If your date falls in a peak window, book as soon as the headcount is roughly known — the $50 deposit holds the slot and is credited to your final bill, and you can adjust the guest count up to 72 hours before.
Weather plan: Florida afternoon rain is normal and almost never cancels an event. Our chefs cook under covered patios, garages, carports, and pop-up canopies. For a housewarming we recommend a 6:30–7:30 pm start between November and March and a 7:00–8:00 pm start in summer so the fire show happens as the light drops.

What a recent housewarming host said
“Everything was seamless at our Airbnb. Chef handled everything. Food was better than the hibachi restaurant we usually go to — and nobody had to drive or wait for a table.”
