Short answer
A Orlando family reunion means 20-50 people from three different states, four different diets, and ages 2 to 92. A restaurant can't seat you together, won't let the kids wander, and ends when the manager decides. At home or at a reunion rental, a private hibachi chef cooks for the whole group on one griddle, the fire show gives you the group photo of the trip, and nobody has to coordinate 15 car rides. Our Central Florida chef base is approximately 116 minutes from Orlando.
Why reunions in Orlando outgrow restaurants fast
Orlando restaurants that can genuinely seat 25+ at one table are rare and expensive. Most reunion groups get split across 3-4 tables, cousins miss each other, grandparents can't hear across the room, and the bill math is a disaster.
A reunion rental in Orange County — the kind of 6-10 bedroom home people book for a reunion in the first place — usually has a pool deck, lanai, or driveway that fits a full hibachi station comfortably. One chef cooks for everyone, serves family-style per table or buffet-line style, and the group stays together.
How we handle the three-generation menu
Little kids (3-12): chicken + shrimp + fried rice. $30 flat per kid under 12. Fire show is the main event; food is a close second.
Adults (teens through 70s): two-protein or three-protein package, mix of chicken / steak / shrimp / salmon / scallops / tofu / filet / lobster. Everyone picks their own two.
Grandparents and dietary needs: fully-cooked proteins, well-done steak, no raw sauces, gluten-free soy on request, low-sodium on request. Flag everything at booking and the chef handles it at the griddle.
Pricing for reunion sizes
25 adults + 10 kids on the two-protein package: 25 × $50 + 10 × $30 = $1,550 all inclusive.
40 adults + 15 kids on the three-protein package: 40 × $60 + 15 × $30 = $2,850.
Above 30 adults we send a second chef for faster service — same per-person price, no extra fee for the second chef on the three-protein package.
Where in Orlando we cook family reunion hibachi
Most Orlando family reunion bookings land in Dr. Phillips, Windermere, Lake Nona, Winter Park, Kissimmee, Celebration, Davenport, ChampionsGate. The setups we see most are Reunion and ChampionsGate vacation villas with screened pools, Windermere lakefront homes, Winter Park bungalows, and Lake Nona new builds. Anywhere near the theme-park corridor, Lake Eola, and the Butler Chain of Lakes is well inside our normal service radius for Orange County.
Most resort-style communities (Reunion, Encore, Solara) require a gate pass for vendors — give us the guest name on the reservation and we check in like any visitor. A standard station needs roughly a 10 ft by 10 ft footprint on a flat, non-carpeted surface — driveway, pool deck, patio, screened lanai, garage, or balcony all work. We bring every table, griddle, propane tank, and serving piece; you supply the guests and the playlist.
What tends to shape a Orlando family reunion: multi-family vacation groups of 15-30 with a lot of kids under 12. Tell us the group makeup when you book and the chef adjusts the pacing and the fire show to match.
Best time of year for a family reunion in Orlando
Season matters for both availability and comfort. In Orlando, spring break and June through August are peak vacation-rental weeks; October through early December is the easiest time to get a Saturday. If your date falls in a peak window, book as soon as the headcount is roughly known — the $50 deposit holds the slot and is credited to your final bill, and you can adjust the guest count up to 72 hours before.
Weather plan: Florida afternoon rain is normal and almost never cancels an event. Our chefs cook under covered patios, garages, carports, and pop-up canopies. For a family reunion we recommend a 6:30–7:30 pm start between November and March and a 7:00–8:00 pm start in summer so the fire show happens as the light drops.

The Two- and Three-Protein tiers add grilled vegetables and let each guest pick their own proteins from chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon, scallops, or tofu, cooked to order. Filet mignon and lobster tail are upgrades on the per-person tiers.
| Headcount | Buffet $35/pp | Two proteins $50/pp | Three proteins $60/pp |

What a recent family reunion host said
“Everything was seamless at our Airbnb. Chef handled everything. Food was better than the hibachi restaurant we usually go to — and nobody had to drive or wait for a table.”

Frequently asked about family reunion hibachi in Orlando
What's the biggest reunion you can cook for in Orlando?
We've done 60+ guest reunions in Orlando. Above 30 adults we send a second chef so the cooking runs in parallel and nobody waits 90 minutes for their plate. Both chefs are the same price per head, no second-chef fee on the three-protein package.
Can we handle allergies and dietary mix in one reunion group?
Yes. The griddle gets wiped between protein groups so gluten-free and shellfish-allergic guests can eat first off a clean surface. Flag everything in advance and we plan the cook order around it.
Can you cook at a rented reunion house in Orlando?
Yes — this is 70% of our Orlando reunion bookings. We follow property-manager rules (COI on request), set up on the pool deck, lanai, driveway, or open garage, and leave the kitchen cleaner than we found it.
Is there a travel fee for Orlando?
A travel fee may apply depending on distance from our chef base. It is always shown up front in your quote for Orlando before you book — no surprises on event day. There is no equipment fee or cleanup fee.
What if it rains during our family reunion in Orlando?
We cook under covered patios, garages, carports, screened lanais, and pop-up canopies. Florida showers rarely cancel an event. If a named storm makes the date unsafe, your deposit moves to a new date at no charge.
