Meet Chef Kyle
Founder and head chef of Fork Yeah Hibachi. 10+ years cooking teppanyaki, 500+ private Florida events, every booking still personally reviewed.
The short version
I started cooking hibachi-style for a friend's birthday in Orlando in 2022. 30 guests, one portable griddle on the back patio, and by the end of the night three of them wanted their own party. Fast-forward four years and Fork Yeah Hibachi runs 500+ private events a year across the entire state of Florida — from Pensacola to Key West, Miami Beach high-rises to Destin beach rentals.
I still personally lead every booking in markets we're expanding into for the first 90 days. If you're the first person in your neighborhood to book us, that's probably me cooking.
Why I run it this way
Hibachi restaurants have a quality ceiling. The teppan is set at one temperature, the proteins are portioned the same for every table, and the show is choreographed down to the second. It's efficient, and it's fine, but it stops being memorable after your third visit.
A private chef at your place is a completely different product. I can read the room — if the birthday guest wants more fire and less talking, I lean into it. If grandma wants her steak well-done and the kids want their chicken plain, that's actually easier at home than at a restaurant. If the bachelorette group wants a sake toss between the shrimp and the steak, we do it. The portable griddle lets me cook responsively instead of on rails.
What I personally guarantee
- Chef standard, every booking. I interview and personally train every chef before they lead their first Fork Yeah booking. Minimum 3 years teppanyaki experience, no exceptions.
- No equipment or cleanup fees — ever. The price you see on the pricing page is the price you pay. Gratuity is optional and never auto-added.
- Weather honesty. If a named storm is actively impacting your area, we reschedule with zero fee. No "but the forecast was 40%" fine print.
- You get me directly. If anything on a booking goes sideways, text (352) 651-3827 and you reach me, not a call center. We're small enough that I can still do this.
Why "Fork Yeah"
Because the first guest at that 2022 Orlando party took a bite, said "fork yeah", and that was it. The brand named itself.
What I'd book if I were you
If this is your first time, do the $50 two-protein package. It's the sweet spot — everyone gets to pick their proteins, the price is a quarter of a steakhouse night out, and the fire show is non-negotiable regardless of package.
If it's a milestone (50th birthday, 25th anniversary, retirement, destination wedding) — do the three-protein package with the filet upgrade. That's the version where guests leave saying it was the best dinner they've had all year.
