Why Naples dinner is harder than it looks

In season (November through April) Naples restaurants on 5th Ave and 3rd Street turn away parties over 6. The ones that take 12+ require a credit card hold, a preset menu, and a deposit. Reservations open 30 days out and vanish same day.

The parking situation adds 10-15 minutes on either end. For grandparents, the walk from a garage in heels or dress shoes is often the real deal-breaker.

The private-chef dinner at a Naples rental

A Naples rental in Port Royal, Old Naples, Pelican Bay, or Marco Island almost always has a lanai or pool surround with the clearance a portable griddle needs. The chef arrives 45-60 minutes early, cooks on the lanai, puts on the 15-minute fire show, cleans up every surface.

What is the gratuity expectation?

Gratuity is optional and never automatic. Guests who do tip usually land at 10-15% of the all-inclusive total; nobody is counting.
