Do I get a referral commission?

No. We deliberately don’t pay commissions — it keeps the referral clean, keeps your Airbnb policy compliance clean, and protects your guest from any sense that they were sold-to. Hosts who want to help their guests get a great Friday night get all the goodwill, we get a booked chef, nobody discloses anything.

What if a guest has a bad experience?

Email hosts@forkyeah-hibachi.com with the booking details. We make it right directly with the guest — refund, re-cook, whatever fits the situation — so the issue never lands in your review inbox. We’ve done this 500+ times; it’s rare, and when it happens we eat the cost without discussion.

How do you handle a hurricane / rain / weather cancellation?

Named-storm watch: deposit refunded or moved to a new date at no charge. Rain: we cook under covered patios / garages / even inside large open rooms as long as there’s ventilation. We’re good at this; it almost never cancels an event.

Can you cook indoors?

Prefer outdoor, but covered patio, garage with doors open, or large open-air space with a vent above the grill works. We make the call on-site with the guest; if the only option is a sealed indoor space we won’t cook there — it’s a safety call.

Minimum group size at a vacation rental?

$500 event minimum. For a 10-person group on the two-protein package, that’s $50/pp exactly, which hits the floor. Smaller groups can still book and either pay the $500 or add upgrades (filet, lobster, extra apps) to use the difference.

What’s the right-size space on my property?

A flat 6×6 ft section of pool deck, driveway, patio, or lawn — roughly the size of a card table. The chef sets up the portable teppan grill and brings everything else.
