Third, the logistics disappear. One flat cost, no bill splitting, no Ubers, no wait, no dress code, and the bride is not managing anything. Drinks are whatever you already stocked at the house, at grocery prices instead of 16 dollars a cocktail.

The numbers for a group of 15

Buffet style at 35 per person: 525 dollars. Two proteins at 50: 750 dollars. Three proteins at 60: 900 dollars. Add filet at plus 10 or lobster at plus 15 for the bride if you want.

A restaurant dinner for 15 on a Saturday with apps, entrees, two rounds, tax, and 20 percent gratuity typically lands 70-110 per person, so 1,050 to 1,650 dollars — before Ubers.

That gap is why this keeps winning. You are usually spending less and getting the better version of the night.

Two things to sort out in advance

Check the Airbnb rules on propane cooking and on the total guest count. A surprising number of bachelorette headaches come from a house that is listed for 12 and has 18 people in it, which puts the host on alert about everything else too.

And pick the serve time earlier than feels necessary. If the group is going out at 10, a 7pm serve time is right. Cooking runs about 90 minutes and you want time to change afterward, not a rush.
